为什么 + VP?Put 为什么 before the action or situation you want an explanation for.
Time adverbs with 时
按时 / 当时 / 平时 / 及时 / 暂时 + VPThese fixed time expressions describe whether something is on time, at that time, usually, in time or temporary.
从 for a starting point
从 + place/time + VPUse 从 to introduce where or when an action starts.
因为 as a cause
因为 + reason,...Use 因为 to introduce the reason for a situation or decision.
Basic conjunctions
但是 / 还 / 还是 / 或者 / 所以 / 要不然 / 因为 / 如果Use these conjunctions to connect contrast, addition, alternatives, cause-result and conditions across clauses.
是…的 for past details
S + 是 + time/place/manner + V + 的Use 是…的 to emphasize a detail such as when, where or how a completed action happened.
因为…所以…
因为 + reason,所以 + resultUse 因为 to state the cause and 所以 to introduce the resulting situation or decision.
