Why Kevin built HSK One

He created HSK One to turn the HSK 3.0 syllabus into practical lessons, review tools and sourced exam updates for independent learners.

Kevin approaches the product from both sides of the learning process: as a teacher responsible for clear instruction and as an active Chinese learner who understands the difficulty of turning word lists and grammar tables into usable language.

Current Chinese-learning experience

Kevin is currently studying at approximately HSK 5 level and preparing for HSK 6. HSK One does not present this as an official examiner credential or as proof that every current lesson has completed human review.

The value of this experience is practical: the site can document what a learner needs before, during and after a lesson, where explanations are too abstract, and which review tools make continued study easier.

Kevin and HSK One are independent from CTI and the official HSK test publisher. The site does not register candidates, operate test centres, issue scores or claim that its original exercises are official examination questions.
