Published 2026 HSK calendar
The official calendar lists eleven regular HSK and HSK Speaking dates in 2026. The table below reproduces the date and the published paper-based and internet-based registration deadlines in a simpler English format.
Deadlines are not interchangeable. Paper-based registration normally closes earlier than internet-based registration, and the exact services offered by a local test centre can differ.
| Test date | Paper-based deadline | Internet-based deadline |
|---|---|---|
| January 24 | December 28, 2025 | January 14 |
| March 22 | February 23 | March 12 |
| April 11 | March 15 | April 1 |
| May 16 | April 19 | May 6 |
| June 28 | June 1 | June 18 |
| July 18 | June 21 | July 8 |
| August 23 | July 27 | August 13 |
| September 13 | August 17 | September 3 |
| October 17 | September 20 | October 7 |
| November 7 | October 11 | October 28 |
| December 13 | November 16 | December 3 |
Test dates do not guarantee local availability
The official test-date search warns that test centres may not offer an exam on every published date. A date on the global calendar is therefore the first filter, not a confirmed seat.
After choosing a date, search for the country, city, level and format. Confirm availability in the booking flow before arranging travel or relying on a deadline.
Paper-based and internet-based formats
The calendar includes paper-based and internet-based testing at centres. Some official pages also mention home internet-based options in the general filters, but availability is highly location-dependent.
Choose the format based on what the centre actually offers and how you have practised. Screen reading, keyboard input and audio equipment can affect performance, so complete at least one realistic practice session in the booked mode.
How to plan backwards from the date
Reserve the final two weeks for full-section and mock-test practice rather than learning large amounts of new material. Before that, use task-based lessons and exercises to repair vocabulary, listening and reading gaps.
A simple schedule is: choose the intended date, set a private decision deadline two weeks before the official registration deadline, complete a full mock before paying, and leave time to resolve document or payment problems.
- Eight to twelve weeks before: finish the main course scope
- Four to six weeks before: practise weak skills by section
- Two to three weeks before: take a full timed mock
- Before the registration deadline: confirm centre, format and documents
- Final week: review errors and test-day procedure
Verify dates before making a final booking
Official calendars can be updated and local centres can close registration early when seats are full. Use this article as a planning reference, then verify the live date and deadline on Chinesetest.cn.
The January 31 HSK 3.0 trial was a separate special session described in its own notice. It should not be confused with the regular January 24 calendar date.
